A Marshall County man was the 22nd fatality attributed to the combination of the flooding and extreme cold in Kentucky, last week.
The Marshall County Coroner, Kenny Pratt, told West Kentucky Star that 62-year-old Deno Curtis Pitt of Benton died as a result of hypothermia. Pratt said that Pitt was living in a camper at the time of his death. There was little to no functioning heat.
Pitt's passing was first announced during Governor Beshear's weather update on Monday.
