A man is facing felony charges after being involved in a collision in Calloway County on Tuesday.

Kentucky State Police troopers were called to Backusburg Road and Marigold Drive in Kirksey.

They determined that the driver of one of the vehicles, 48-year-old Justun Wallmann of Kirksey, was under the influence.

While he was being arrested, Wallmann resisted and ran away. A trooper used a Taser on him, and he was taken into custody.

During a search of Wallmann’s vehicle, troopers found a handgun, approximately 70 grams of methamphetamine and 25 pills, which KSP said are still waiting to be identified.

Wallmann's various charges included possession and trafficking of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, fleeing or evading police, and possession of handgun by a conviceted felon.

After being medically cleared, KSP said Wallmann was lodged at the Calloway County Jail.
