Major meth bust in Mayfield

Several law enforcement agencies took part in a significant meth bust on Tuesday.

Investigators from multiple agencies arrested a Mayfield man with a large amount of crystal methamphetamine, valued at $136,000.

Based on information received, officers from the DEA, U.S. Marshal Service, Kentucky State Police, Mayfield Police and Sheriff's Offices of Graves, McCracken, Calloway, and Marshall Counties worked surveillance in Mayfield, Tuesday. 

The suspect, 36-year-old DeAnthony L. Noonan, has a record of trafficking and other drug offenses. Allegedly, Noonan was transporting a sizeable amount of meth for sale. 

Late Tuesday afternoon, investigators caught up to Noonan at a business on West Broadway in Mayfield, and blocked his vehicle. Deputies said Noonan was in possesion of about 3 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, opiates, electronic scales, over $4,500 in cash, and other items. 

Noonan was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine-2nd offense, trafficking in opiates-2nd offense, possession of cocaine-3rd offense, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernailia, and driving on a suspended license.

Noonan was taken to the Calloway County Jail.
