A potent cold front will sweep through the region Sunday evening, bringing a 25-50% chance of thunderstorms east of the Mississippi River, mainly in southern Illinois, the Kentucky Pennyrile and southwest Indiana.
An isolated severe thunderstorm with damaging wind gusts and hail is possible. Forecast confidence is low, so check for updates tomorrow.
The passage of the front will drop temperatures about 20 degrees on Monday, but recovery to 70-degree warmth returns later in the week.
