Louisville man charged after pursuit into Graves County

A pursuit through McCracken and Graves County early Sunday morning ended in a Louisville man's arrest.

Graves County authorities were notified that McCracken County deputies were pursuing a vehicle on US 45 and approaching the Graves County line just before 4 A.M.

Stop Sticks were placed near Vaughn Road, which the suspect hit, but the suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Donald Sweatt, continued fleeing.

Sweatt later lost control of the vehicle near US 45 and KY 1241 and fled on foot.

Sweatt, who officers said was under the influence, was arrested soon after and charged with fleeing or evading, driving under the influence, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, and other traffic violations.
