Since western Kentucky was spared from the massive ice storm that has crippled Tennessee and other southern states, local utility companies are able to send line crews to deal with the damage to the electrical infrastructure.

Paducah Power posted that their six man crew will leave early tomorrow for Lexington, Tennessee, not far from Jackson, where more than 6,000 customers are without power.

Benton Electric, Princeton Electric, and the Frankfort Plant Board are also sending crews to Lexington, Tennessee.
