Livingston Hospital making plans for $60 million expansion

This week Livingston Hospital in Salem announced a $60 million expansion and modernization of its current 25-bed facility, along with expansion of ambulance services for Livingston and Crittenden counties.

The expansion is said to include space for more operating rooms, an oncology and infusion area, nuclear medicine, MRI, 3D mammography and cardiac rehab. 

Newly-renovated all-private rooms and an inpatient therapy center are also in the project plans.

Livingston Hospital has been in operation for almost 70 years. A groundbreaking ceremony will be planned in the near future, and construction is planned to begin within the next year.
