A collision in Graves County involving two cement trucks claimed a life on Monday morning.
The collision was reported at 7:20 am on Ky Hwy 94, just east of the Ky Hwy 564 intersection between Sedalia and Lynn Grove.
The two concrete trucks were reportedly traveling in opposite directions. As the two trucks met, they clipped each other, causing both drivers to lose control, leave the roadway and overturn. One overturned in a field, the other into a creek.
Both trucks were Advance Manufacturing Brand Concrete Mixer trucks. One was being operated by 24-year-old Conner A. Paschall of Hazel. Paschall refused medical treatment at the scene.
The other driver was identified as 48-year-old Jeremiah A. Smith of Eddyville. Smith was pronounced deceased by the Graves County Coroner at the scene.
Recovery and removal of the cement trucks took much of the day Monday, the roadway remained closed well into the afternoon for investigation.
