A Kuttawa couple was arrested Sunday after a man was pepper sprayed during an argument.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office said a deputy responded to Cinder Lane south of Suwanee and  found 37-year-old Jacob H. Armstrong of Kuttawa outside the home and had been pepper sprayed.

Deputies said 40-year-old Elisha D. Armstrong of Kuttawa had barricaded herself in the home and eventually came out to talk with deputies.

Deputies learned the woman and man had been in an argument regarding another woman.

Police said Jacob was out of custody on multiple bond conditions from previous incidents. One of the bond conditions was that he have no contact nor communication with Elisha.

Both Jacob and Elisha were arrested. Jacob was charged with contempt of court/resistance to order, while Elisha was charged with assault-4th degree.
