Hazel bank robbery suspect arrested in Carbondale

Kentucky State Police troopers and detectives are continuing their investigation into a bank robbery Thursday in Hazel, but a suspect is now in jail in Illinois.

The Murray Bank branch in Hazel was robbed on Thursday. 

The suspect reportedly fled toward the Tennessee line. However, the suspect, identified as 56-year-old Robert P. Riley or Water Valley was located and arrested in Carbondale by Illinois State Police.

Riley will remain in jail in Illinois until he is extradited back to Kentucky to face robbery charges.
