Kentucky State Police investigating armed hold-up in Hickman

Troopers with Kentucky State Police Post 1 in Hickory are investigating a Wednesday night armed robbery in Hickman. 

Hickman Police got a call reporting the robbery on Wednesday at about 8 p.m. from the Wine Cellar II on 7th Street. KSP was called in to assist in the investigation. 

The preliminary investigation determined that a black male went into the store, showed a handgun to employees, and demanded cash. The man reportedly took the money, then took a bottle of liquor from a shelf, and walked out of the store.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black hoodie, jeans, a white glove on one hand, and a white face mask. He left the scene driving a white Ford SUV believed to be either an Edge or Escape.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. 

Anyone with information about the suspect, his vehicle, or the incident is asked to call Kentucky State Police or Hickman Police.
