An escapee from a Paducah halfway house was arrested and now faces meth trafficking charges.
The McCracken County Sheriff's office said 52-year-old Robert W. Grundy of Almo was arrested Wednesday afternoon after they saw him at a home near 28th and Cornell Streets.
They said Grundy had walked away from Keeton Corrections in January.
According to deputies, Grundy got into a vehicle and tried to leave the home, but he was taken into custody without incident.
During a search of Grundy’s vehicle, detectives found 18 bags of meth, Suboxone, a drug ledger (that contained numerous names and dollar amounts) and cash believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.
He was charged with trafficking meth - second or subsequent offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance - Suboxone.
Grundy was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
