Hopkinsville woman arrested after child found in the cold

A Hopkinsville woman was arrested Tuesday after her one year old child was found wandering in the cold.

Hopkinsville Police said they went to the home of 27-year-old Stacey Williams on Greenwood Drive where her child was spotted with no socks or shoes on wandering the streets.

Investigators went to the home and found the odor of marijuana coming from it.  After a search, a duffle bag was confiscated which had several ounces of marijuana along with packaging and a digital scale.

Williams was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and trafficking marijuana and lodged in the Christian County jail.
