A Hopkinsville man is facing multiple charges after first being accused of trespassing at a home in Lyon County.

Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home on Hylan Drive, south of Eddy Creek, after a Hopkinsville man showed up there after being ordered to stay away. A court ordered 18-year-old Cameron A. Sanders to stay away from the home. Sanders was stopped in his truck after he fled from the home as deputies arrived.

Sanders was reportedly driving on a DUI-suspended license, not wearing a seatbelt, and violating several court orders. Sanders was arrested and additionally charged with contempt of court.

Further investigation revealed that Sanders had allegedly assaulted his previous victim, as well as threatening harm to the victim and several witnesses, in an attempt to get the individuals to either change their story or stop helping police in a case against him.

Sanders, already incarcerated in the Crittenden County Detention Center, was served with felony charges of intimidating a participant in the legal process. He is being held on a no-bond order.
