Hazel man arrested on warrant from traffic stop last fall

A Hazel man wanted on a warrant from a traffic stop last September was arrested Monday.

The Calloway County Sheriff's Office located 54-year-old Kevin Sargent at a Stateline Road residence.  Deputies said he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

The warrant stemmed from a traffic stop last September where deputies located a briefcase containing over 19 grams of methamphetamine, high-grade THC marijuana extract, Diazepam pills, over 10 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, marijuana, and other items consistent with trafficking illicit drugs. 

He was also found to be in possession of a firearm.

Sargent was lodged in the Calloway County Detention Center.
