A Hardin woman has been charged after deputies said she set a fire that spread to a home.
Marshall County authorities responded to the fire on Stallons Road Monday, where they said it was determined 47-year-old Nicole Thompson had intentionally set the fire next to the house, near where an occupant slept inside.
In addition, the sheriff's office said Thompson had locked driveway gates, delaying the fire department's response.
Thompson was out on bond for an assault charge.
She was charged with arson, fleeing and evading, resisting arrest, and violation of her bond conditions.
