Graves motorcycle crash sends Dublin man to hospital

A motorcycle crash on KY 384 near Ballard Road Tuesday sent a Dublin man to a hospital.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office reports that deputies were called around 5:30 pm to KY 384, near Ballard Road, for a motorcycle crash.

Their investigation found 52-year-old Michael Niemeyer was operating a motorcycle and he stated he met an oncoming vehicle that was partially in his lane.

Niemeyer said he was able to avoid hitting the vehicle by getting onto the shoulder of the road, but was not able to return to the roadway, and ran into a ditch and culvert.

Niemeyer was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.
