The Graves County Sheriff's office arrested a Mayfield man after they received information about drug sales at a local motel.

On Friday, detectives searched a motel room and located crystal meth and crack cocaine. They arrested 34-year-old Edward Lee Troup.

Troup was charged with trafficking in meth and possession of cocaine. Police said Troup has had previous convictions of both felonies.

He was transported to an out-of-county detention center.
