Graves County woman jailed on drug trafficking charges again

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said 68-year-old Ava Nell Davis was arrested after detectives served a search warrant at her home on KY HWY 1241, just north of Mayfield. 

The Sheriff's Office said they had received multiple complaints from citizens alleging illegal drug trafficking. Authorities said they were able to covertly purchase hydrocodone pills from Davis. 

During a search of her home, detectives allegedly recovered 10 mg Hydrocodone, Suboxone strips, bottles containing 7.5 mg Hydrocodone pills, marijuana, scales, drug paraphernalia, and numerous EBT cards belonging to her customers that authorities said were utilizing the cards to purchase drugs from Davis. 

They also recovered $3,588 in cash that is believed to be the proceeds from illegal drug sales. 

Sheriff detectives carried out a similar raid on Davis's home in April 2022 and she was arrested on almost the exact same charges as this past Friday. Davis was scheduled to enter a guilty plea on that case on August 5th.

Davis was transported to an out of county detention center.
