A Graves County crash involving an SUV and a grain truck on Saturday claimed the life of a Hickory woman.
Deputies responded to the intersection of KY 1241 and KY 408, where they learned 26-year-old Melissa Penn had collided with a grain truck driven by 77-year-old Joe Cherry of Hazel.
Penn received serious injuries in the accident and was airlifted to a Nashville hospital for treatment.
A passenger in Penn's vehicle, 29-year-old Deondra Jackson, was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center where she was pronounced dead by the Graves County coroner.
Cherry was not injured.
The intersection was shut down for about two hours while the accident was investigated.
