Gilbertsville woman charged with theft at Calvert store

A Gilbertsville woman has been charged with theft after an incident at a Calvert City store.

Calvert City Police were called to the Family Dollar/Dollar Tree about an alleged shoplifter, but the suspect was gone when officers arrived. With surveillance video, officers determined that the female suspect was 28-year-old Sharon McLean of Gilbertsville. 

After filing charges with the Marshall County Attorney's Office, a criminal summons was issued charging McLean with theft by unlawful taking/shoplifting. The summons was served on Tuesday.
