Fulton, Hickman to receive federal funding for planning projects

The Delta Regional Authority is awarding nearly $500,000 to five communities across Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri in its third round of funding through the Strategic Planning Program. 

Western Kentucky cities receiving funding include Fulton, awarded $124,000 to produce a utility rate study and a hydraulic modeling water study to inform the development of a long-term water system strategic plan.

Hickman was awarded $25,000 to develop a preliminary engineering report for its water treatment plant to identify needed upgrades.

Southern Illinois Now was awarded almost $130,000 to identify priority sites for industrial attraction and business development in rural southern Illinois.
