Former Eddyville correctional officer indicted on rape charge

A former correctional officer at the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville was indicted this week on a rape charge.

The former officer, 38-year-old Trista Fox of Fredonia, was arrested in September after penitentiary staff contacted state police claiming Fox had sexual contact with an inmate.

The Special Prosecutions Unit of the Attorney General's office presented the case to the grand jury. The felony indictment was handed down on Monday.
