Fire damages Cadiz Restaurant Monday night

Fire damages a well known eatery in Cadiz Monday night.

WKDZ reported around 8 pm Monday night Cadiz firemen were called to the Cadiz Restaurnt for a fire that originated in the coffee shop area.  The fire was located in the wall of a grill. 

Customers and employees were evacuated from the facility.  A grill cook was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.  No other injuries were reported.  

Firemen were able to get to the roof of the three story facility and extinguish the fire.  The main dining room was spared most of the damage.

Cadiz Restaurant is a six decade old businees and is the oldest restaurant in Trigg County.
