Emergency preparedness training events set for next week

The Red Cross will offer two emergency preparedness training events in Lyon County next week.

The free training events will educate the public on steps you can take to help you prepare and protect your family.

The training, called Be Red Cross Ready, is a national, standardized, preparedness education curriculum taught by certified presenters.

Free weather radios will be provided to each household that participates.

The first training event takes place June 28 at 1 p.m. at the Lyon County Library.

The second training is June 29 at 5 p.m. at the Lyon County Convention Center.
