The victim of an electrocution Wednesday on the Murray State University campus has been identified.
The Murray Ledger and Times reported the victim is 49-year-old Jerry David Humphrey of Dawson Springs, who worked for Groves Electrical Services of Madisonville.
The deadly accident occurred just after noon Wednesday around the Waterfield Library, but it's not known what type of work was being done.
An autopsy of Humphrey's body was performed Thursday at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville. Preliminary results indicate the cause of death as high voltage electrocution.
The investigation into Humphrey's death is continuing.
