A traffic stop in Eddyville on Saturday led to the arrest of a wanted pair on drug and forgery charges.

The driver, 32-year-old Jeffrey A. Williams of Eddyville, was found to have outstanding warrants for trafficking in meth, tampering with physical evidence, and being a persistent felony offender.

The passenger, 30-year-old Savannah M. Wittmer of Grand Rivers, also had a warrant for failure to appear.

A search of their vehicle reportedly uncovered meth, marijuana and multiple checks belonging to other people. A search of their motel room revealed more drugs.

They were both arrested and taken to the Crittenden County jail.

Williams was charged with trafficking in meth, forgery, criminal possession of a forged instrument, and other drug and traffic-related offenses.

Wittmer was charged with possession of meth and marijuana.
