A call about a disturbance in Ballard County on Wednesday led to the arrest of two people on meth charges.

Deputies responded to a home on Broadway where they said 26-year-old Katey Hargrove of LaCenter was found to be under the influence and a search reportedly uncovered methamphetamine.

Deputies said Hargrove was recently released on parole after beign convicted on drug-related offenses.

The next morning, deputies were called to the same apartment for a suspicious vehicle outside of Hargrove's apartment, where they found 37-year-old James Winters of Illinois. Authorities said Winters was there to meet Hargrove, not knowing she had been arrested.

Winters' license was allegedly found to be suspended and deputies said a K9 alerted to the presence of drugs in his vehicle. A search reportedly uncovered meth that was packaged to be sold.

Both Winters and Hargrove were charged with possession of meth and taken to the Ballard County jail.
