Disturbance call leads to arrest of Mayfield woman

A reported disturbance Saturday night led to the arrest of a Mayfield woman.

Mayfield Police were called to a West North Street residence where they encountered 37-year-old Katrina Snelling.   She was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Mayfield EMS then arrived on scene and transported Snelling to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment.

While enroute to the hospital, Snelling assaulted a medic by hitting him in his knee at least twice.  

Snelling was medically discharged for incarceration and she was then placed under arrest for public intoxication, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and assault.

Snelling was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center.
