A Dexter man was arrested after he tried to flee from police during a traffic stop.
On Thursday, a Calloway County deputy walked up to a vehicle on West Fork Road driven by 24-year-old Lex Fox, when Fox fled in the vehicle.
During a pursuit, police said Fox nearly crashed several times. After Fox was stopped, police said he appeared to be intoxicated. He was arrested and lodged at the Calloway County Detention Facility.
Fox was charged with reckless driving, fleeing from police and driving on a DUI suspended license.
A check of Fox's record showed he had been previously found guilty of driving under the influence twice in the past ten years. He also pled guilty to fleeing from the Murray Police Department last June while having a suspended drivers license in June 2023. Fleeing from police in a motor vehicle is a Class D felony.
