The Crittenden Press reports that the new bridge will be about 2.5 miles northwest of KY 70, at mile point 2.46.
The county received funds through the state's County-City Bridge Improvement Program in the amount of $550,000, which makes the new bridge project possible.
During the construction, motorists will need to use alternate routes, and should not move or drive around road closure barricades.
Weather permitting, completion of the new bridge is anticipated in early to mid-January.
