Crash with semi sends Paducah man to hospital

A two-vehicle crash in McCracken County early this morning sent a Paducah man to the hospital.

Deputies were called to Blandville Road near Massac Church Roadafter learning 22-year-old Alex Alvey of Paducah had side-swiped a semi driven by 53-year-old Tom Hecht of Farmington.

Alvey was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

US 62 had to be closed from McCracken Boulevard to Olivet Church Road until about 6:30 am.
