A South Fulton, Tennessee pair were arrested on Wednesday in Wingo and are now facing drug charges.
At 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, deputies with the Graves County Sheriff's Department spotted a vehicle parked in front of a business that was closed. They spoke with the driver, 37-year-old Melissa Parrott, and her passenger, 44-year-old James Parrott, and reportedly noticed signs suggesting that the driver may have been under the influence of a controlled substance.
A search uncovered cocaine hidden on her person and methamphetamine in the car. A computer check also found a protective order from Obion County in place between the two.
Both were arrested. Melissa Parrott was with DUI, trafficking in methamphetamine, and possession of cocaine. James Parrott was charged with violation of an emergency protective order.
