An early morning crash on Thursday sent two people to the hospital.

Paducah Police said the crash occurred just before 7 am on Lone Oak Road at the Bleich Road intersection. Witnesses told police that a truck driven by 50-year-old Carl Green of Bardwell allegedly ran the red light at Bleich Road.

At the same time, another vehicle, driven by 80-year-old Arthur Schofield of Paducah, was attempting to turn left off Lone Oak Road.

The vehicles of Green and Schofield collided and struck a third vehicle, driven by 46-year-old Johnna Travis of Paducah.

Police said that both Green and Schofield had to be freed from their vehicles by Paducah Fire Department. They were both taken to Mercy Health for treatment. Schofield was later flown to another hospital, out-of-state.

Travis and her passengers were not hurt.

The crash was investigated by the Paducah Police Collision Reconstruction Team.
