A serious crash along Lone Oak Road at I-24 on Monday claimed the lives of a Gilbertsville couple.
Paducah Police said that the crash happened just before 2 p.m. along Lone Oak Road at Jack Paxton Drive. Officers determined that a car driven by 82-year-old Susan Lepisto of Gilbertsville turned from Lone Oak Road onto the entrance ramp to I-24 and into the path of a tow truck driven by 42-year-old Robert Grant of Paducah.
Lepisto and her passenger, 83-year-old David Lepisto were rushed to Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital, but both succumbed to their injuries.
Grant was not injured in the crash.
