After two rounds of severe weather pounded the region twelve hours apart on Sunday, the days-long process of surveying storm damage will begin on Monday.

The National Weather Service office in Paducah is planning to send at least two damage survey teams to survey tornado damage on Monday.

One team will be surveying the long track tornado that impacted locations from near Calvert City to Greenville in western Kentucky. Another survey team will survey tornado damage in from Goreville to the Lake of Egypt area into Saline County in southern Illinois.

If time and staffing allow, another team will survey damage in southeast Missouri.

It will take several days to survey all the reported damage from Sunday’s storms. Surveys will likely include Eddyville, Princeton, Dawson Springs and Gibson County, IN.
