Collision sends Murray pair to hospital

A single-vehicle accident in Murray last week sent two people to the hospital.

Murray police said 17-year-old McKinley Boyd was traveling on 12th Street and approaching Southwood Drive, when a vehicle pulled out of Southwood Drive and struck her car.

The other driver, 43-year-old Rebecca Atkins of Murray, said she was pulling out of Southwood Drive and onto 12th Street but didn't see Boyd's vehicle.

Boyd and his passenger were taken to the Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment.
