At Tuesday's meeting, Paducah city commissioners approved new appointments to the Paducah Human Rights Commission.

Appointments include chairman Robert Hernandez and members Jana Dawson, Christa Dubrock, Irhonda Lovelace, Kimberly Yates, Dann Patterson, and Anthony Walton.

Terms for all previous members had expired. The new members will serve staggered terms of 1, 2, and three years so that they don't all expire at the same time.

In June, commissioners amended an ordinance expanding the Human Rights Commission from five to seven members.

A priority for the new commission will be to review the rest of the existing ordinance and recommend changes, if any.
