A Calvert City man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash last Thursday that involved two other vehicles.

Calvert City Police said the crash happened along US 62 just east of I-24. Witnesses told police that the motorcycle, driven by 63-year-old Dwayne A. Miller of Calvert City, was heading east on US 62 at a high rate of speed and trying to pass the other two vehicles involved in the crash.

They indicated that Miller clipped a sideview mirror on one of the vehicles and lost control, colliding with a trailer pulled by the other.

The impact Miller suffered with the trailer is said to have severely damaged his left leg. He was flown to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville for treatment of his injuries.
