Calvert City man jailed following disturbance call

A Calvert City man was arrested Saturday following a domestic disturbance.

Calvert City police said 66 year old Maurice N. Turnbough was located in the back bedroom of an East 6th Street residence and was at first uncooperative.

The female victim reported Turnbough was intoxicated and aggressive and she wanted him to leave.

When Turnbough began leaving the bedroom, he hit an officer with his left shoulder and appeared to try and grab his duty belt.

Turnbough was charged with meancing and lodged in the Marshall County Jail.

During the transport to the jail, Turnbough yelled, curesed and made open threats to the officer.
