Calvert City man charged after assault Friday night

A Calvert City man is facing charges after an alleged assault on Friday night.

Calvert City Police were called to a home on West 14th Avenue after reports that a person was fighting with several people there. When officers got there, the suspect, 18-year-old Gavin S. Keffer of Calvert City, was located lying in the home’s driveway. He is said to have resisted being taken into custody following an investigation.

Keffer was arrested and charged with assault, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
