Calloway Fire-Rescue battles numerous vehicle fires

Firefighters reported a busy Thursday in Calloway County after battling numerous vehicle fires.

Volunteers with Calloway County's Fire-Rescue were dispatched in the afternoon to the 1300 block of Old Newburg Road near the Faxon community for a vehicle fire.

Once there, responders found more than one vehicle on fire, as well as a smaller structure the fire had spread to.

Multiple units responded to assist with the fire.

Later that afternoon, units were dispatched to the 2200 block of Doores Trail in Kirksey for a field fire getting close to a structure.

While battling the field fire, members of fire-rescue were called to a vehicle accident with injuries on Cross Spann Road near the Marshall County border.

Ultimately it was determined there were no injuries.
