A Cadiz man that was jailed Monday after a pursuit in Marshall and Calloway Counties is facing new charges.
Kentucky State Police said they were asked by the Trigg County Sheriff's Office to investigate allegations that 61-year-old Charles Sikes of Cadiz was in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl.
The investigation found that Sikes had allegedly been involved in the relationship with the girl since June. Sikes is now charged with five counts each of rape and sodomy.
KSP said the pursuit took place the day that the allegations were first reported. Charges stemming from the pursuit included wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief.
