Community Foundation of West Kentucky is receiving donations for those in need from all across the country.

In response to the devastating tornados, the Community Foundation of West Kentucky started the CFWK Disaster Relief Fund. The fund is designed to help support local nonprofits' mid to long-term recovery efforts.

Tony Watkins, CEO of the foundation, said he had seen an outpouring of support for Mayfield and western Kentucky.

Watkins reports receiving a $110,000 anonymous donation followed by $250,000 from Toyota and $25,000 from Bath and Bodyworks. Even country music star Chris Stapleton donated $50,000 through the Outlaw State of Kind Fund with the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

He told the West Kentucky Star that Walmart had donated 1,000 bicycles for kids for Christmas.
