Bridge in Ballard County closed indefinitely due to substructure issues

A bridge on Fraser Road in Ballard County has been closed to all traffic after issues were found with the substructure.

The bridge over Buckler Creek Branch on Fraser Road has been closed after an inspection. It previously had been posted to have a 9-ton limit, but the problems necessitated the complete closure by KYTC engineers.

KYTC will work with the Ballard County Road Department to determine if the bridge can be repaired or will have to be replaced.
