Benton man charged with stealing electricity

A Benton man was arrested on theft charges Wednesday.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department said 51-year-old Christopher Scot Linsin of Benton was charged after deputies discovered that the electric meter at his property had been tampered with allowing Linsin to obtain electricity without being permitted to do so.  

Linsin was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
