Benton man arrested on sex charges involving a minor

A Benton man has been arrested on charges in connection with sex crimes involving a minor.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office said that over the weekend they arrested 22-year-old Jonathan Wallace of Benton. Wallace had been indicted in Marshall Circuit Court and accused of rape and sexual abuse, in addition to procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means. 

Wallace was served with the warrant and taken into custody on Saturday.
