Details released in Lake Barkley UTV rollover crash

More details were released about a UTV rollover crash on October 16 along Lake Barkley that sent one woman to a Nashville hospital.

Lyon County Sheriff's deputies were led by Good Samaritans to the crash along the north shore of Lake Barkley near the end of Green Road.

Police report that 38-year-old Chad Whitis of Symsonia was operating the UTV on the dry lake bed with two other adults and two children in it when the vehicle overturned. Four of the five passengers were restrained, but the one unrestrained woman, 31-year-old Ashley Lynn Whitis of Kuttawa was injured.

Lyon County EMS treated her at the scene before she was flown to a Nashville hospital.
