Gas prices in Kentucky continue to drop, even as the summer vacation season gets underway.

Average gas prices in west central Kentucky are 14 cents per gallon lower this week at $3.07, according to AAA East Central's Gas Price Report.

This week's price is 16 cents less than one year ago.

The prices range from a low of $2.86 in Owensboro, to a high of $3.48 in Louisville.

Paducah's average price this week stands at $2.98.

The national average is at $3.44 per gallon, nine cents less than last week, and 19 cents less than a month ago.

AAA says this is the largest weekly drop in the past year, due in part to lower gasoline demand, increasing supply, and lower oil costs.

Current gas prices nationwide, statewide, and locally can be found at GasPrices.AAA.com.
