According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake occurred at 10:44 p.m. just east of Steele in the Missouri Bootheel, or 20 miles west of Dyersburg, Tennessee.
As of Monday, more than 800 people told the USGS they felt the quake in southeast Missouri, west Tennessee, western Kentucky, southern Illinois and northeast Arkansas.
